Proposed Plumbing Regulations 2008 - Regulatory Impact Statement (RIS)
On 17 July 2008, the Department of Planning and Community Development issued a Regulatory Impact Statement about the Proposed Plumbing Regulations 2008. The statement is available for public viewing and comment until 21 August 2008. It explains the effects of the proposed regulations, which are to replace the current 10-year-old regulations that cease in November. Proposed Amendments to the Building Act - what plumbers need to know
On 26 June, the second reading of proposed amendments to the Building Act 1993 took place. Overall, the proposed changes aim to improve the operation of the regulatory scheme, established in the Act, and clarify terminology to enhance the roles of building and plumbing practitioners; and improve the current legislative scheme and lead to a more efficient process of delivery. Global Plumbing Survey
The first ever global research survey across the plumbing industry is being undertaken, and your input is requested. The survey, which requests practitioners' opinion on a range of industry issues, will take approximately three minutes to complete.
