Booking a below ground sanitary drain inspection

If you undertake below ground sanitary drainage work, you must book an inspection with the Plumbing Industry Commission by calling 1300 365 900 and following the automatic prompts.

You will need to provide:

• Your licence number
• Your PIN number (issued to you with your licence)
• The seven-digit compliance certificate number
• The six-digit consent to connect number (issued by the relevant water authority)
• The length of the drain to be inspected (in metres)
• Your preferred inspection time (between 7am-4pm on the next day, available Monday to Saturday only).

At the conclusion of your booking, the automated system will quote the time and date of your booking and will ask that you enter # to confirm the transaction.

Booking a below ground sanitary drain inspection does not remove the need to lodge a compliance certificate. A compliance certificate must still be lodged as required.

Failure to attend an inspection at the booked time and site may attract a fine of $340.26
