Product accreditation

Plumbing product accreditation is required to ensure that plumbing practitioners use and install materials and products that are fit for their intended purpose.

The product approval scheme is managed by Standards Australia and requires all products to be tested and certified by a Conformity Assessment Body. Accredited products are listed in Australian Standard AS/NZS 5200 and must carry an appropriate mark, such as the Standards certification mark or the Standards licence mark.
